Aston University is delighted to announce the launch of its new public lecture series – Aston Inaugurals.

The Aston Inaugurals will showcase and celebrate the research of four of the University’s newly appointed professors on a diverse range of topics throughout the academic year 2012/13.

The first Inaugural Lecture of this academic year will take place on Thursday 29th November at 6pm.

The lecture, given by Professor Andrew Pitt from the University’s School of Life and Health Sciences, ‘More than just “stinks”: using chemical tools to unlock biology’, will look at the ways in which academics have been developing and employing chemical tools to help win the war in unlocking complex biological questions.

Further information about the event can be found via the web link: http://www1.aston.ac.uk/about/news/events/aston-inaugural-professor-andrew-pitt/.

The event is free to attend and open to all. Complimentary tea and coffee will be served from 5.30pm and a buffet will follow the lecture.
